Cycle counting allows you to audit inventory accuracy without pausing operations.

The "Blind Count" Process

  1. Creation: An admin creates a count task for a specific Location, Zone, or Product.
  2. Locking: The system temporarily Freezes the target locations. No picks or putaways can happen there.
  3. Counting: An operator visits the location. The scanner asks "How many Item X are here?". It does not show the expected quantity.
  4. Validation:
    • If the count matches the system: The task is auto-approved and location unfrozen.
    • If there is a variance: The system triggers a Recount request for a different user (Four-Eyes Principle).
  5. Adjustment: If the variance is confirmed, a manager must approve the adjustment in the dashboard.
